Major Conference on Spiritual Value of Wilderness
Attendees from many faiths and countries come to the Wild Center to exchange ideas on the spiritual and symbolic value of the wilderness experience. The first international inter-faith conference in the Adirondacks is an unqualified success and a second conference is agreed to before the first one ends. It showcases the conservation achievements of the Adirondack region.

Faith Communities Talk About Regional Help for Refugees
While the meeting was about refugees, not a conference on wilderness, the bringing together for faith communities across the Park was a big, and successful, step in this direction. It may be the first faith community meeting ever in this region.
