Fracking Produces Large Amount of Gas in NYS

NYS has entered the ranks of those exploiting gas deposits through hydraulic fracturing in the Marcellus and Utica shales south of the Park. It has brought $ billions in economic growth to the State and helped eliminate budget deficits. The southern tier of the State is experiencing a full scale energy boom. Tight regulation of the drilling was a requirement of approval in Albany.
