Cumulative Impact Studies Kicked Off

DEC and APA decisions have traditionally been made on a parcel by parcel basis, while cumulative impacts have not been sufficiently considered. Something that might be fine for one or two parcels can become ecologically troublesome or degrade a community's character if after a decade or two 50 or 100 parcels now do that same thing. New studies are examining this issue, starting with the collection of uniform baseline data throughout the park.
