Emerald Ash Borer, Asian Long Horn Beetle and Wooly Adelgid are established in central Adirondacks, resulting in large areas with dead trees which present a serious fire risk, but also offer a potential source of biomass. Some want to clear the deadwood in the Forest Preserve.

Border City Decides to Remove Ash Trees Before EAB Arrives
