Nova Bus was just approved to build a 14,000 square foot showroom for their buses at the Plattsburgh manufacturing facility as well as a 22,400 square foot parking lot. In the midst of an increase in production and bus orders the showroom will allow clients to view products in a better environment.

As part of a new $1B deal with Asian customers, GE has announced recently that their Schenectady factory will be building two steam turbines for Vietnam to be delivered in spring of 2016.

The Chicago Transit Authority announced that they will be expanding their order through Nova Bus to build 125 more transit buses, which is valued at $68.4 million. Nova Bus is a manufacturing facility in Plattsburgh.

CCC Wins Grant for Area's First Advanced Manufacturing Institute

Last fall Clinton Community College won a $12.7 million grant from the SUNY 2020 Challenge Grant Program for the institute that will provide education and training in aerospace, transportation and manufacturing. The three areas focused on were identified by the North Country Regional Economic Development Council as necessary for economic growth.
